University offers will be out mid January for the mainland institutions and prior to Christmas for UTAS.  If you accept or intend to accept a Commonwealth Supported Place you must have a tax file number.   The Tax File application form can be found at any newsagency or post office, and should be returned to the Taxation Office. It takes approximately 10 days for the Taxation Office to issue you with the relevant tax file number.
